I love this ring. I bought it first in aluminum, and loved it so much so I ordered it in sterling silver. I kept both the sterling silver and the aluminum because I wanted to compare them side by side. The aluminum is great and so affordable. I highly recommend it. However, if you can afford the sterling silver it is even prettier, smoother, more expensive looking. It also is more comfortable to wear. There was something about the aluminum that was less comfortable on my finger. It's hard to describe, like it stuck on my skin a little. The sterling silver does not have that. Also Vinnie did an oxidation process for me so that the trees are darker and more pronounced. I couldn't be more pleased. Great workmanship. I think you can tell in the picture which is which. I darkened the trees on the alum with a sharpie.

First off, the workmanship is very good, and it is as described. I was on the fence regarding aluminum. It looked too shiny and it looked like aluminum. It's thicker, as stated in the description and i didn't like that. But I kept wearing it because otherwise I really like this ring, and it grew on me. But I want it to tarnish, like silver, and aluminum doesn't tarnish so I thought I'd return it for sterling silver. Then I learned I could color in the trees with a sharpie and clean and wipe the excess off with nail polish remover. Now it's perfect.
